Kalimantan Adventure is a unique journey that will take you to the discovery of Indonesian Borneo.

The adventure begins with the exploration of the dense jungle of the Tanjung Puting park on board a “klotok” a traditional boat used by locals to go up the rivers. The park is home to Camp Leakey, a major Orangery Research Center.
After the thrilling experience at Tanjung Puting, the journey continues with a visit to the floating market of Banjarmasin and the remote villages of Loksado.

Day 1 Arrive in Pangkalan Bun - Tanjung Puting National Park

Arrival at Pangklan Bun airport and transfer to the port of Kumai, where you will embark on the “klotok” a traditional wooden river boat. On board the klotok the Sekonyer river will rise and the deeper jungle will be entered in search of wild animals. The park is the habitat of an incredible variety of wild animals including orangutans, proboscis monkeys, and gibbons.
You will spend the night on board the klotok which is equipped with mattresses, pillows, blankets, mosquito nets and toilets. The crew of the boat made up of the guide, the cook and the captain will help you prepare the boat for the night.

Day 2Tanjung Puting National Park

With the private klotok you will have the opportunity to explore the park in absolute tranquility and flexibility.
You can visit the Camp Leakey Research Center and Pondok Tanguy Orangutan Rehabilitation Center to get close to the orangutans in their natural habitat.

Day 3Tanjung Puting National Park

You will spend another day exploring the thick jungle of Tanjung Puting . You can make another visit to Pondok Tanguy and Camp Leakey for more opportunities to observe the orangutans, or continue to Pesalat where there is a project to reforest the park’s forest. A visit to a local village is also planned to observe the natives’ daily life.

Day 4Fly to Banjarmasin - Loksado

Early morning arrival at the port of Kumai and transfer to Pangkalan Bun airport for the flight to Banjarmasin.

Arrival in Banjarmasin and transfer of about 4-5 hours to Loksado, located in the heart of the Meratus mountain range.
In this remote area of Kalimantan, you will have the opportunity to explore the enchanting natural landscapes and get to know the traditions and culture of the Dayak natives.

Day 5Loksado

Loksado is the perfect place for all those who love being outdoors and in close contact with nature. Full day dedicated to trekking along the trails, passing through stretches of rainforest, rivers, suspension bridges, waterfalls, and farms. There are many paths, with different levels of difficulty – before leaving, it is advisable to plan together with the guide the most suitable itinerary for your physical preparation.

Day 6Loksado - Bamboo Rafting

The best way to discover the most pristine landscapes of Kalimantan is to go down the river on a bamboo raft . In addition to the beautiful scenery that you can admire along the way, rafting along the rapids and river currents will be an unforgettable adventure.

Day 7Banjarmasin

Departure at dawn to visit the picturesque floating market of Banjarmasin where you can watch the buyers and sellers who trade food and vegetables from their boats.
Return to the hotel for breakfast and transfer to the airport.
